Down Sweater Vest (Men's)
Product Number: 22675
The Men's Down Sweater Vest by Patagonia is simple: ultralight core warmth. This vest's minimalist design practically floats, its 800-fill-power down traps heat in alpine conditions, and it's so compact it stuffs into a stretch-mesh internal pocket (with a carabiner clip-in loop).
The innovative 100% recycled polyester shell with a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish provides wind and water protection as well as a high tear-strength; quilting stabilizes the down. With zippered handwarmer pockets and a drawcord hem.

This is a great down vest. Light-weight, reasonably packable (not as good as some of my Primaloft vests). I use it for layering on hikes and outdoor ecology stuff during WA state winters, and it's perfect for that. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a down vest!

I don't backpack anymore. But I needed a warm, light, comfortable insulating layer. I fly an EMS helicopter. We wait all day (or night) for emergency calls. So we go out in the weather to pick up people who need us. While the med crew is with the patient, I sit in the helo waiting. If the engines are off, there no heat. So having this sweater vest to knock off the chill while waiting is excellent. I am often out in all kinds of weather and this vest certainly suits my needs in 99% of those conditions.
I also bought a Patagonia Micro-Puff vest. It is very similar, just insulated with synthetic matieral which insulates even when wet and dries much faster than down. So the Micro-Puff works in that 1% area the down vest doesn't. Both are excellent.

I love this vest. It is lightweight yet keeps me warm. The fit is perfect and the quality is top notch. And, Rock Creek had the best price with on-time delivery. I could not ask for anything more.

Comments about Down Sweater Vest (Men's):
Light weight, packable & warm. The vest is particularly useful on cold mornings when the temperature is expected to go up later in the day.
