Whether on its own or under a shell jacket, The Classic Retro-X Vest by Patagonia is a windproof, recycled polyester Synchilla fleece vest keeps your core warm.
At dawn and dusk, laps around the Cathedral Lakes can turn chilly. Fight the temperature drop with a Retro-X Vest. A windproof barrier sandwiched between thick 100% polyester pile (86% recycled) on the outside and a moisture-wicking, brushed-mesh lining keeps warmth in and winter out. Side pockets are lined with brushed-polyester mesh for comfort and a Supplex chin flap adds extra protection. The Supplex-lined vertical-zip chest pocket holds lunch money and ski pass.

Highly recommend this vest for cold conditions with wind. I wear a 44 L sport coat and the Large was my size. There is room for layering. Definitely recommend trying this on if you have not.

like the vest overall. just be aware that the retro line, esp. black will pick up lint like a magnet. just have a lint remover handy.
