The Men's Classic Retro-X Jacket is Patagonia's enduring, fully featured recycled polyester fleece jacket.
Patagonia's Retro-X has the fortitude for burly ranch work and the wind-stopping ability to block the constant gusts coming off the Medicine Bow range. It has a thick 100% polyester (86% recycled) pile face that's soft and supple. A moisture-wicking brushed-mesh lining and a windproof/breathable barrier cut cold and wind faster than a tumbler of scotch. With Y-joint sleeves for mobility, a vertical zippered chest pocket and zippered handwarmer pockets. At the end of the day, use a bunched-up Retro-X as a pillow.

Seriously, this thing is like I ripped the wool off a sheep and starting wearing it around. It is insanely comfortable. I get tons of complements on this jacket. The only con that I have found is that the pockets might be too high for some to stick their hands in. Other than that, it is the best jacket I have ever owned.

A lttle pricy for what it is but definitely quite warm & windproof & practical. Not as soft (on the inside) as some patagonias I've owned but nice looking & (for me) fits well over other lightweight outerwear such as a wool sweater. I bought it for myself & got what I expected.
Fits well - I'm 6ft2in,175lb, skinny neck & long arms. Its a little bulky on me but sleeves, neck & overall length are good.

I bought this jacket to wear out on nights and weekends as a casual jacket to wear with jeans. I don't hike or anything like that so I won't comment on that. The fleece is much thicker than I expected. People in the south think it's a parka. The fit is different than I expected. It fits tighter around the chest and is shorter in length than I expected, but it still works for me. I'm a 48Reg. and bought an XL. I would recommend for its warmth, durability, and its classic look that won't go out of style.
