The Women's Cap 3 Bottoms by Patagonia are a versatile baselayer for moderate exertion in cool or cold weather. The unwavering foundation for any cold-weather clothing system, these bottoms keep you dry, warm and moving forward. They're made from Capilene 3, the most versatile and fastest-wicking of Patagonia's performance baselayer fabrics: providing excellent insulation and ultimate comfort next to the skin, its dense interior honeycomb grid is brushed for warmth, softness and compressibility. With a smooth jersey exterior that glides readily beneath layers, a brushed, scalloped-edge elastic waistband, a gusseted crotch and a flat-seam construction that eliminates chafe. Made from 4.8-oz 100% polyester (64% recycled) with Gladiodor natural odor control for the garment. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

      Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms (Women's) - 2008:

I recently used these while hiking the Inca trail in Peru. It's the dry season so it got down in the 30s at night. I wore these to sleep in and never had any problems with being cold. The second night on the trail, everyone complained about being so cold they couldn't sleep, but I slept like a baby llama. However, I will say that I had on 2 pairs of these pants in addition to all the other layers, but I give these pants a lot of credit to my staying warm.

The only problem I had with them was that I had to pull them up a little higher above my ankles than I would have liked, but it's a small price to pay.

      Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms (Women's) - 2008:

I bought these to go on a colder campout. The camput was rained out, but I wore them to a backyard campfire instead. They kept me warm without being too bulky. Also they did not cut off circulation on my ankles, so huge plus. These are great as long as you get them on sale.

Have only had opportunity to wear a couple times. Kept my legs warm under my convertible pants, cool enough when I removed the legs of my pants after warming up a bit. Looking forward to winter hiking and activities with confidence!

          Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms (Women's) - 2008:

We ordered the product from Rock Creek one week before our ski trip in Dec 08. The order process was easy. the Patagonia Capilene 3 works real well for our ski trip. It kept me warm through out the entire outdoor ski time. Compare to the full retail price at the outdoor store, rock creek has much better price.
