The Women's Better Sweater Jacket by Patagonia is where warm polyester fleece meets your favorite sweater.
The Better Sweater Jacket has all the lightweight, moisture-wicking warmth of a high-performance fleece but travels incognito as a dignified sweater. The richly textured, cross-dyed fabric has a soft fleece interior and a heathered sweater-knit face. Soft and smooth micropolyester jersey trims the wind flap, cuffs, hem and pockets. With a stand-up collar and zipper garage, zippered handwarmer pockets and a zippered left-sleeve pocket.

It is comfortable, soft and appears to be of good quality. I have only worn it a few times so I can't say how well it will hold up. Cons it bunches at the mid-torso stomach area, so not as flattering as the 1/4 zip better sweater. Pockets are very soft. It appears to be well made and hopefully will last a long time.

In the cooler months, I wear this everyday and it looks great. So comfortable and stylish. What I love about Patagonia jackets and vest, they are so light weight but so warm, they don't weigh you down.

I have an older one. Patagonia has made improvements in this new one- better front zip system, non-pilling collar trim etc....The Better Sweater gets better.

I got my first Better Sweater Jacket in 2008 and I still have it. I now have it in 3 colors and am going to get the black soon. It's my favorite item in my wardrobe in the winter, so warm! It does run small, by the way. I am a size 14 and I wear an XL and the sleeves are quite long, which I love personally because I have long arms. The one thing I don't like about it is that after awhile, it pills. I'm talking after a few years of wear, but it can be fixed easily with a clothes shaver.
