Comments about Patagonia Alpine Guide Pants (Women's) 2008:
These pants are great; I've pretty much live in them. They're warm, shed water like a champ, and have enough stretch for awesome mobility. My only complaint is that the legs are a little baggy and the ankle snaps don't get tight enough (they slide up a bit on my ice boots).

Comments about Patagonia Alpine Guide Pants (Women's) 2008:
Great pair of pants. Super comfy and flattering! Order up a size or 2 if you've never tried on Patagonia pants; I can wear a 6 in many brands but needed a 10 for these so look at the size guide. Thoughtfully designed, as with all Patagonia; no extraneous pockets or buttons, just the right amount of detailing. Everything is very sleek and trim. The pockets zip closed and are lined with a warm, soft material. I feel that I can wear these in cold temps with no baselayer and still stay warm. Soft shell material is breathable yet water repellent. They are cut slim through the thighs, which I love, and they taper at the ankle but have an optional vent that can be opened for a more flattering boot cut. I am 5'8" and these just hit the tops of my boots. Very pleased with this purchase - I will be backpacking through cold Peruvian mountains for 6 weeks and cannot think of a better staple for my pack. Wish I could find a black pair in my size as well. Very pleased with these pants; a bargain for the price!
