The women's Patagonia 50K Shorts - 4 1/4" are just the thing to help you extend your comfort zone on the trail. Simple, streamlined and made for the serious runner, the shorts' durable 100% polyester plain weave fabric feels soft against the skin, and the built-in liner's polyester crepe fabric wicks moisture and won't chafe. The lightweight jersey waistband is wide and comfortable with a drawcord that lies flat, and two front pockets, built into the waistband to keep contents stable, lie flat when empty. The external envelope pocket at the center back features a key loop. A reflective logo at the left hem keeps you visible. Inseam is 4 ".

I expected shorts to fit smaller -- patagonia usually does -- but the XL was too big. Good thing they have a cord to tighten them because I did not have time to reorder. Wore them on a very long walk on the North Rim.
