Patagonia Trail Running Collection
Included with each season’s Patagonia clothing is a full range of trail running apparel. Patagonia trail running clothing is some of the best available; in fact, the Rock/Creek Race Team runs exclusively in Patagonia trail running gear! Since Chattanooga is one of the best places in this part of the country for trail runners, we know trail running inside and out, and our trail runners wear Patagonia.
We chose the Patagonia Air Flow T-Shirt, Patagonia Air Flow Sleeveless T-Shirt and Patagonia Draft Tank for our runners to wear out on the trail. All three feature an ultralight polyester mesh, making them extremely breathable. In addition, these are lightweight, wick sweat to keep you from overheating, and dry fast.
Patagonia Capilene base layers are well-known, but don’t think of Capilene as being just for cold-weather; Patagonia Capilene 1 is meant for high-output endurance activities in warm temperatures. The Patagonia Capilene 1 Silkweight Stretch T-shirt is one of the best shirts you can buy for trail running, especially if you’re more concerned with protection from the sun. It features a 50+ SPF rating, while the “regular” Patagonia Capilene 1 Silkweight T-shirt – another trail running classic – is rated at 30 SPF.
Another option is the Patagonia Runshade T-Shirt, with a lightweight polyester fabric to keep you cool and carefully-placed seams to prevent chafing when wearing a pack. In addition, these trail running shirts all feature the environmentally-friendly Patagonia Gladiodor odor control treatment, an effective and durable and alternative to heavy metal ions.
For trail running shorts, try the Patagonia Nine Trails shorts, Patagonia Long Haulers or Patagonia Ultra Shorts. All are quick-drying and prevent chafing. If foul weather is on your agenda, layer up with the Patagonia Nine Trails Jacket (also available as the Patagonia Nine Trails Vest), or try the Patagonia Houdini full-zip jacket. These are ultralight, minimal shell jackets featuring just the right amount of weather resistance without sacrificing breathability, and they weigh practically nothing.
With the Patagonia trail running collection, you can push yourself to the limit… without doing the same to your gear!
