Because the Sombriolet is a sun hat, you also need to have plenty of vents and fabric that won't saturate with sweat. Made with a durable nylon material that has strategically placed vents throughout so you can get cool air, while the fabric wicks moisture from your head keeping you cool and dry.
Piping along the brim edge offers greater wind resistance when those last minute summer storms brew unexpectedly.

Okay, so I am a young avid adventurer! I really wanted to get a "fashion" hat for my longer paddling trip this summer.. but I decided to go with function over fashion. And I am glad I did! This hat was wonderful! Kept sweat, dirt, and sun out of my eyes. And it turns out having a long brim hat like this will put ease on your eyes and keep you from getting headaches in the sun too.
I would highly recommend to anyone spending time in the sun.

I went out to Rock Town the other day to do some climbing. I wore this hat in between climbs for protection from the sun on my skin and also for beleying to keep the sun out of my eyes. It worked great and was so lightweight that it didn't feel in the way at all. On the hike out I ran most of the trail and wore this hat the whole time. It is not a running hat but with the cord lock it stayed nicely on my head and vented greatly to keep me from over heating.
