Like their namesakes, Crocs have been around forever. The instep strap is replaceable, and an additional tab holds the front opening down, but otherwise they remain unchanged. The fitted design and durable, waterproof fabrics are as effective now as ever.

Comments about Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiters (Men's):
Crocs are hands down the best gaiter for snow/rain use. Super rugged, stay in place, completely waterPROOF, these things are great. Pair them with a waterproof boot and you'll rarely have wet feet. Great classic product.

Comments about Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiters (Men's):
These were passed down from my father to me. My pair must be over 10 years old and still working great. I hiking part of my AT thru-hike with them and LOVE their function. Great substitute to pants if you are trying to go lighter weight. I prefer a gaiter over a pant anyday! GORE-TEX is the easiest waterproofing to maintain and keep alive. You will get what you pay for with these.

Comments about Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiters (Men's):
Have only had one opportunity to use Croc Gaiters, snowshoeing in the Sierras. Found them to be easy to put on and keep in place. Fit was better than other gaiters I have tried. No problems with snow getting past them. Somewhat surprised that the stitched seams were not seam-sealed, but that is easy enough to do myself. Looking forward to really testing them in the near future.

Comments about Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiters (Men's):
Crocs fit better than any other I've tried for snow hiking. They stay in place and don't interfere with crampon or snowshoe straps.
Glad I've got'em.
