I like wearing pogies instead of gloves because I can feel my paddle better. These are great because you can snap the cuffs down, which makes them easier to get in/out of. You'll still get some water in, so don't expect them to keep your hands "warm" just more comfortable. The best benefit, I think, is that they cut the wind.
