Comments about North Face Surge II Backpack (Women's):

I bought this thinking it was the latest model of TNF Surge II Women's backpack, but it turns out it was last years model. The pictures provided dont include a good image of the laptop slot, so I couldnt tell this was the case. It is still a nice backpack but when I received it I was first confused, then disappointed.

Comments about North Face Surge II Backpack (Women's):

The organization is nice--bigger pocket for books and other things, laptop pocket with built-in sleeve, pencil/phone zone, easy to get to sunglasses or eyeglass case with nice soft lining. Ipad fits great in the laptop sleeve. Haven't tried a laptop but it doesn't seem like you could fit a bigger laptop in the sleeve itself. But, no reason you couldn't pop one into the area outside the sleeve. It's compartmentalized so it wouldn't get scratched by having other stuff in there.

The pack is a little smaller than I thought it would be. If you need to haul a ton of stuff, this might not be for you. I think it's a pretty good size for around town or for a very small carry-on.
