Comments about North Face Surge Backpack Spring 09:
I have just received this pack today and couldn't be more thrilled to use it. This back is solid and I haven't noticed any drawbacks to it. The only thing I can think of right now is the WATER BOTTLE pockets will most likely NOT FIT a NALGENE 32oz bottle. From what I noticed the perfect bottle for this pack is a SIGG 1 liter bottle, the SIGG bottles are not as wide as the 32oz nalgene. I will be using this pack everyday for a plethora of uses from going to work or college to a day hike and the gym, this pack will withstand anything. If I come across and drawbacks or flaws they will be posted. Also it is great for a 13" Macbook and the charger...This pack is great. If anyone has any question feel free to ask.
