Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
I use this bag for traveling with guitar equipment. This bag has proved to be extremely durable, has locking zippers, and does a great job of keeping the water out. The Bag also has a lifetime warranty so you can abuse it and know it will last. I have one but will soon have 2 more

Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
This bag has been all over the world with me and has carried most of my gear in planes and cars. This bag stands up to abuse very well and has the capacity to carry everything but your skis or board. It works well for weekend trips if you want to throw everything you need into one bag. The backpack straps really helped in the airport when I needed both hands.

Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
I bought this duffle for two extended trips, one to Hawaii and the other to Honduras, within a month time frame and the bag performed better than I had hoped. Knowing that the bag was likely to get tossed around, especially on the trip to Honduras, it performed flawlessly without showing much if any wear and tear. I was nervous about the travel conditions in and around Honduras and, thus, wanted something that would keep my stuff high and dry, and the DWR on the outside did it's stuff and kept everything dry despite daily showers. The only thing that I wish the bag had was an optional shoulder strap, this would have been helpful for short movements, such as from taxi to airport check-in, for example. Rather than having to use the backpack harness all the time. Although the backpack harness was very helpful for traveling with the bag for longer walking distances. Wouldn't recommend it as a full-time backpack, but it certainly does the job. Again, it was a great bag and I am very happy w/ the purchase. I certainly put it to the test and it performed great.

Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
Ive taken these bags on service trips, weekend trips, and even on some week-long journeys. I bought two, one M and one L... they're sturdy, easy to carry, and attractive. The size L is big enough to put my snowshoes, telescoping poles, and a down coat or two in it. I tend to use the size M more, especially for overnight trips.

We took the bag on a raft trip in the Grand Canyon. It was perfect. It was easy to carry from raft to camp and kept evryting dry as a bone. Our guide stacked other bags on mine to keep them ourt of the water and dry.

Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
I am a pilot in the military. I have the small duffel and I love this bag. It's very durable. The backpack straps are an awesome feature that I sometimes need. There is an excellent mesh pocket in the top of the lid for smaller items. Webbing to lash stuff on. This bag deserves the awards it has won.

Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
This bag is just the right weight and very durable. It is minimalist design with one internal net compartment on the lid, lots of loops on the outside and comfortable carrying straps. I have used it for camping and air travel. The medium size has a large capacity but not too heavy to carry (along with a couple other bags), and I'm a rather petite gal.

Comments about North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag Fall 09:
Completely bomb-proof duffel with enough reinforcement to beat the heck out of it for years on end. Whether you're dragging it off the plane in some out of the way village in South America or just going skiing at a resort, this duffel bag will serve you well for years. One of the North Face's classic bags.
