Comments about National Geographic Road Atlas Adventure Edition:
Some great perks about this atlas is how informative it is in regards to 24 national parks across the country. There's also a section that divides the country into East, Central, Mountain, and Pacific - and gives 25 different places to either hike, climb, paddle, bike, bird watch, or do winter sports for each specific region. It also has a topographic map with interstates, a regular map showing all the states, a mileage and driving time map, and a mileage chart. It's also very easy to read and detailed. It also has two clear semi-thick pieces of plastic covering the front and back which help keep its shape. The spiral binding is also quite helpful in flipping quickly and reduces the size when in use in the car. Oh and it includes Mexico and Canada for those traveling to the farthest extents of North America. My only complaint or thought on how it could be better would be if the pages were laminated. Although that would affects it's weight, so it's a give and take. Don't expect to easily drive on the highway/interstate and follow the map at the same time. Then again who can focus on the road and drive simultaneously? Despite those minor things - it's a great atlas to have and explore with.
