What’s in your pack? Backpacking gear list 1: The traditional backpacker
"In the 'good old days,' a pack loaded with a weekend’s worth of gear might weigh upwards of 30 pounds. Today, lightweight equipment and high-tech features make it easier to carry everything you need on your back. Most backpackers choose the appropriate gear by considering criteria such as comfort, durability, cost and weight. This can be tricky, as often an improvement for one criteria comes at the expense of one or more of the others. The list below highlights some of the most popular choices, for those seeking a balanced approach..."

Comments about Msr Hubba Hubba Fast & Light Tent (2 Person):
Just took it out for a backpacking trial run in Big Sur. The tent was easy to set up and and very comfortable. I really like the the almost vertical walls at both ends, these make the tent feel much bigger than it is. This is important to me as I am slightly claustrophobic.
I am a little concerned about the lack of tie down points. I hope it holds up OK in windy conditions. Some reviewers have had problems.
All in all it seems to be made with quality light weight materials.

Comments about Msr Hubba Hubba Fast & Light Tent (2 Person):
This is the easiest tent I've ever seen to put up. I put it up first time in less than 2 minutes. This is a very good tent for hot weather, almost the entire thing mesh. The fly/vestibule setup is really nice. It gives you the option of which way to open the fly opening to maximize air flow and minimize bug traffic. I haven't used it in a heavy rain so I don't know how water resistent it is.

Comments about Msr Hubba Hubba Fast & Light Tent (2 Person):
I love that the main tent body is all mesh... lets a lot of air flow on for hot and stuffy summer nights. I use it with the rain flap on but the vestibule sides rolled up for easy temperature/breeze/rain adjustments. Small enough to use solo, big enough for two adults (especially for a couple).

Comments about Msr Hubba Hubba Fast & Light Tent (2 Person):
Got the tent to Summit Mt Shasta, set the tent up at 10,460 ft, endured major thunderstorms first and second night with sustained high winds and corn sized hail and snow. I was set up next to folks with full four seasons, I was just as dry and happy. Tent does jiggle like jello in high winds, more guy out points would be nice. With mountaineering gear its more like a 1.5 person tent than a two person tent. For the price and weight though its an awesome tent!

The Hubba Hubba is a outstanding tent. It's light weight, minimal, and easy to set up. Perfect 3 season tent and is very spacious with duel vestibules. Nice for tall people. I would absolutely recommend this tent to a friend!
