In a world that expects liquid-fuel stoves to have one setting (hot), the MSR DragonFly stands out. Since its debut in 1998, it has won numerous awards for its innovative dual-valve design, which offers an unrivaled range of continuous and immediate flame control. Simmer a delicate sauce over a candle flame or melt snow quickly over a blowtorch with a twist of the flame adjuster. The continued popularity and performance of the DragonFly can be attributed to the many features invented by MSR.

Comments about MSR DragonFly Stove:

I have owned MSR stoves for decades, and in some ways this is my least favorite model. It totally failed on two consecutive high-altitude snow camping trips, and could not be lit even after complete in-the-field teardown and reassembly. you can imagine how much fun that was. In both cases I was using standard stove fuel (Coleman, I think) which was probably a year old or so. When I called customer service, the MSR factory reps told me that the Dragonfly requires very clean fuel, and they recommended that I ONLY run it on brand-new MSR fuel.
What a stark contrast that is with my trusty, wonderful old XKG that will burn anything, anywhere, and never complains, even if it is deafeningly loud and never heard of "simmer"!

    Comments about MSR DragonFly Stove:

An awesome stove across the board. The dragonfly is great for large groups as it can hold large pots and put out a lot of flame. However it uses the fuel very efficiently down to the very last drop thanks to the manually pressurized fuel bottle it uses. It also burns excellently at altitude where other stoves putter out. I love to cook so love the extra simmer control valve to make everything from scrambled eggs to cinnamon rolls.
