I needed to be able to easily carry my camera so that I could quickly access it, while having gloves on and working on constructing small buildings in Africa. I almost didn't buy this, as I thought I could just use the pockets in my cargo pants. I'm very glad I did, however, as I was able to protect my camera, and have very easy access to it. I took far more pictures while on my trip than I would have otherwise!

This case is great for my new camera...the protection is great and I love the inside pocket. It's a little bulky, however, and the zipper and the velco seem like a little overkill. However, it's a keeper, I love it!
