I love this jacket. Great jacket for backpacking and hiking. Carried this jacket exclusively on many long distance trips in the Sierra - Super light weight and very packable. This is my second Epic Jacket and it is just as good as the first - love it.

I've had the jacket for a few rainy days and one trip now. I took it backpacking with me for six days on the AT in Georgia and NC. It snowed and rained on me for a couple of days, and the jacket definitely kept me dry the whole time. It is a very thin jacket though, so I had to layer it for warmth along the way. Also, the bill on the hood is a little annoying to me, but definitely not a deal breaker.

This is an amazing rain shell period. It was my most worn jacket during July, August, and September. Great for when its wet outside but not cold. This jacket is so light that it can easily be layered under when it gets a little chillier.

Mountain Hardwear gear undoubtedly is consistantly the best fitting gear that I've ever experienced throughout my lifetime. I'm 6'4" and extremely fit and it's like they used a model of my body to make their gear. I've purchased a few soft shell jackets, a sub zero down jacket, and now just added this Epic, conduit, breathable rain-gear jacket to the collection much to my continued delight. If you haven't tried Mountain Hardware goods, it's time you did.
