The Compressor PL Jacket by Mountain Hardwear is a superlight, insulating jacket made with Primaloft One synthetic fill. This type of material provides an amazing warmth to weight ratio, compresses easily and the coolest thing about it is it insulates even when completely wet. If you are going into the backcountry and anticipate encountering light rain, or heavy snow, the Compressor PL is the jacket to have to use as a layering piece under a hardshell or alone while hiking.

This is the perfect everyday outdoor jacket and fits a small frame well. It's a little bulky around the midsection but this allows a vest or fleece underneath for colder days. I love the color!

Mountain Hardwear nailed this one...the Compressor jacket is awesome! It's super lightweight, very warm, and it packs down into its own pocket, so you can throw it into your pack without it taking up too much space or adding much weight. Plus it looks good :) I wear it around town all winter and always throw it in my pack to go backcountry skiing (perfect to throw on when you're packing up your skins on a cold windy ridge). Plus, since it's synthetic, it will still keep you warm if it happens to get wet (unlike down). I've had my compressor for 3 years now, and it's still good as new.
