Mountain Hardwear's Canyon Shirt has been put to the test of extreme heat and passed with flying colors. If your nearest adventure includes high temperatures then the Canyon shirt is for you. Made of a floaty, 3.4 oz. sanded nylon broadcloth, the fabric has the look and feel of cotton, but accomplishes far more; it wicks moisture from your skin, dries almost instantly, and has an SPF of 30. You will be protected from sun and scrapes, yet remain cool and comfortable. Stretch nylon panels at the shoulders, so there is a radical reduction in binding under pack straps.

The Canyon Shirt allows fresh air to enter at the front and circulate around your torso. Pockets, one chest and one Napoleon, are accessible even while wearing a pack, and they and the upper back vent panel are mesh-backed to increase ventilation and save weight. Shoulder seams are placed where they won't grind your skin under pack straps, an extra-high, triple-flip collar keeps intense sun off your neck, and the cut is full for a breezy fit. The rubber buttons (originally made for rugby shirts) resiliently resist abuse.
