I bought the Montrail Rogue Racer for the Chattanooga Stage Race straight out of the box. I did not get one blister or hot spot. To be able to do that with a shoe is un-precedented to me. They perform amazing on wet rocks and transition seamlessly from trail to road if you are doing really long multi day stage races. They might not work if you need alot of support in your shoe but if you are a neutral runner and want a amazing race shoe with awesome traction this is the shoe for you.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The Rogue Racer is a stand out. Not only does it literally stand out in those bright colors, but it is fast,light and sure to get the job done on race day. I've burned some quick miles in these on fast non-technical trails and they are great. Great fit and perfect for light weight runners.

I recently purchased a pair of these shoes and they've made running fun again for me! They fit perfectly right out of the box, which is crucial and will help sell lots of shoes. They good traction except in the mud, look great and seem like they'll last a long time. Great job Montrail!
