Comments about Montrail Mountain Masochist Running Shoe (Men's):
I purchased these shoes after training on some trails and slipping in damp/wet conditions in my Road shoes. These shoes were the perfect choice as I didn't slip, and could put full out sprint power to the ground and not have to worry about it. I was in the ATR 50k Trail race in Afton Mn and the "trail shield" saved my right foot from a sharp cut off small tree that would have punctured any of my other running shoes. Its the right tool for the job, and it deserves the "Gear of the Year" award that it received. I would buy these shoes again in a heartbeat. They are THAT good.

Comments about Montrail Mountain Masochist Running Shoe (Men's):
This shoe is one of the best out there. I bought my first pair for the 2009 training and running of the Mt. Masochist 50+ trail race and was not disappointed. This shoe work great on the single track to the fire roads and asphalt. The rock plate is very effective and will last many miles. I put 800 miles on the first pair and still use them for short runs.
