The Metolius Personal Anchor System (PAS), is a must have for anyone who climbs multi-pitch routes, big walls, or guides for a living. The PAS is constructed with a super strong, proprietary Power Webbing that attaches to your harness and when you get to your belay station or anchor, you use it to clip in and secure yourself.
Daisy chains should NOT be used because they are full-strength only when loaded in the end loops (intermediate pockets are only 300 lbf/1.3 kN). With the PAS, you can clip into any part of the system and you will get full back up as each loop has 100% strength to any sort of pull, fall or tension.
The PAS is more convenient and adjustable than using slings, or quickdraws at the anchor when rapelling, or belaying.

Very handy when cleaning up anchor statiions... does not get in the way of slings, biners, chains or anything else that can be up there. Like the static or dynamic strength factor too... Very light weight and stoes nicely. Would recommend this to anyone that finds themselves cleaning a lot of stations
