I have never liked powdered chalks - they seem like talcum powder, a little slippery, which is not what I want to improve my grip. The difference between block chalks - Bison, Frank Endo or Metolius has pretty much eluded me - they all seem pretty good and the price here (when I bought enough for free shipping) seemed better than most.
