Boss Hog Crash Pad
Product Number: 11026
The Metolius Boss Hog Crash Pad is a cool pad this season that has a new innovative foam layering system that provides the ultimate in providing fall stopping potential. With a 1" top sheet of closed cell foam that is un-split, meaning there is no gutter, as well as a 2 1/2" open cell and 1/2" closed cell bottom layer with an angled hinge design. These foam layers are then enclosed in an ultra durable ballistic fabric that prevents tears and rips while carrying around in forests or thorny deserts.
One of the best parts of this pad is its auto carpet top that keeps shoes clean, while keeping moisture out of the foam. Another positive aspect of the carpet is it helps to prevent the slipping that can happen on slicker, nylon surface pads.

Comments about Metolius Boss Hog Crash Pad:
I use this product every time I boulder outside, and it has held up great. The padding is thick, without being bulky. The outter material is tough, and has not ripped or frayed at all. The straps make it very easy to carry around, and the small pouch on the side is perfect for a small guide or some climbing tape. It's a fantastic pad and has saved me from many jacked ankles!

Comments about Metolius Boss Hog Crash Pad:
I mainly use this pad for some bouldering nothing above about 20 feet and it works great. Great material the outter covering seems rugged and hasn't had any rips or visable wear even though it has been used in some rocky terrain and taken a couple decent falls. The storage straps work very well and the hinge system is cut on a diagonal with velcro so that when it is open it feels like a solid pad instead of two pads hooked together. All and all a great crash pad.
