Comments about Marmot Trestles 0deg F Sleeping Bag (Long):
I purchased the Marmot Trestle 0 degree bag because I do the majority of my hiking and camping in the winter. This is the warmest bag I have ever owned and I must say it is a great bag. I've slept in temperatures as cold as 35 degrees F in nothing more than pants and a shirt. The synthetic material is soft and comfortable, and the outer layer helps keep me dry all night. I sleep mostly in a hammock, so I typically lose a few degrees in warmth by not sleeping in a tent. But this bag makes up the difference wonderfully. Two issues with the bag that I've experienced thus far; The zipper snags on seemingly nothing at all, so getting out of this bag when your arms are constricted can sometimes be tricky. Also the bag is bulkier than my lighter sleeping bags and it takes up half the space in my hiking pack. However ever freezing night I sleep on the trail I always give myself a pat on the back for bringing this bag along to keep my warm.

Comments about Marmot Trestles 0deg F Sleeping Bag (Long):
This bag is extra fluffy to keep you extra warm, and that's what is so great about it. I love the weight of the bag on top of me to keep me cozy. It's so warm and comfortable, I've actually slept in it on top of my bed at home. I just recently used it in the Hoosier National Forest for a backpacking trip with temperatures in the low 20s, and I was very warm.
However, that weight is also a drawback. The bag is heavy and it does not stuff well. I have a 5500 pack, and the sleeping bag literally takes up the entire bottom half without using a stuff sack. The stuff sack makes it too difficult to avoid the voids. The packability of the bag is poor, but it's worth the weight if you sleep really cold like I do.
Overall, I would recommend this pack to everyone except the ultralight backpackers. It's just too heavy and bulky for your style of backpacking. Everyone else, don't waste your time reading any more reviews...go buy it now! You will fall in love!
