Comments about Marmot Sharp Point Jacket (Men's) - 2008:
I really liked this jacket, and wish it fit me better so I could have kept it. I'm 5'7", and 20lbs over weight, so the mid/waist section of this medium sized jacket fit too tight on me. I probably could have worn it if I didn't want to put my hands in the pockets. This is a thinner jacket that feels more like a spring/fall one than 1 for the winter, but I didn't wear it outside so I don't know for sure. It looks great in red/gray, and is really comfortable and free moving, but make sure you don't have any belly before getting this coat or it'll be too tight.

Comments about Marmot Sharp Point Jacket (Men's) - 2008:
Like all the other great reviews, I agree that this jacket rocks. It is very lightweight and feels good. It is definitely windproof and mostly water resistant. With just a T-shirt underneath you can probably wear the jacket by itself down to about 45-50 degrees. If you throw a long sleeve underneath you can gain another 10 degrees. And if you throw a fleece underneath I am sure you can handle casual snowing conditions.
Marmot to me fits smaller than most other companies. Usually I am a small (5'7 145 lbs, 32in sleeve). However, with Marmot I am perfect in medium. This jacket is great for going over a fleece or under another thicker jacket. Works well with layering.

Comments about Marmot Sharp Point Jacket (Men's) - 2008:
This jacket is great for those hike-in's where the wind is howling. I used this on numerous occasions last winter with a mid-weight fleece and stayed nice and toasty in 20-30 degree temps. The pit zips are of course a great feature for venting and the material is on the stretchy side so you can skin away. Liked it so much I picked up one for the wife.

Comments about Marmot Sharp Point Jacket (Men's) - 2008:
The Marmot Sharp Point is the most versitle jacket I have ever owned. This is my first experience with Gore Windstopper and I am SOLD! I have used this jacket (plus base-layers) skiing several times and haven't been cold yet; not even on the lift!!! It has pit-zips in case you get too warm, so it's perfect for sport or just a fall day. It sheds water like duck's back, so you stay warm and dry regardless of the weather.
The ONLY problem I've noticed, is during extreme cold (less than 15F), it is so thin that thermal convection takes over and you can feel the cold against your skin. However, if you're wearing a base-layer (which you typically would at those temps), you won't be able to notice.
From mountain top to the street this jacket has you covered!
