These pants are very warm. They work best for extremely low temps and wind. I use them as an outer layer for winter cycling, trail running, and climbing. They also work well as a base layer in cold mountain conditions. The only improvement I would recommend is incorporating ankle zippers for easier on/off. Other than that these are great pants that I think are a staple item for endurance athletes.
