Bought this coat for my husband awhile ago. After seen how dry he always was and how much he loved it I had to get my self one. It's perfect as a rain coat and as an outer shell for winter. Packs down small making it easily to take in a backpacking trip.

Comments about Marmot Minimalist Jacket (Women's):

I had two goretex jackets about 20-25 years ago. They were the absolute best rain gear I ever owned. Both were stolen. I have always wanted another one and finally decided to splurge. I bought this particular jacket based on the reviews, specs (light weight, 2.5 layer, underarm zip, fit), color (love the pool blue) and purchased from Rock Creek (which I had never heard of) because they had the lowest price. The product shipped quickly (free ground shipping) and was in excellent condition on arrival. I will purchase from this company in the future.

I am surprised that the jacket can be machine washed and dried, also has a lifetime guarantee. I will use it on a trip to Iceland next summer. I bought a large which is a little big for me but will work with layers. The jacket isn't too crinkly sounding when moving which I was concerned about.

I am really happy to have another goretex jacket.

great jacket for downpours, keeps you dry, not windproof is the only downfall, but no big deal to wear a warm baselayer underneath and you should be good to go!

This is a well-fitting jacket that is comfortable for under a hiking pack. I also use when riding my bike in the rain. Will keep you dry, but stuff in pockets will be wet after wearing in the rain for a while. Not too many pockets (none inside the coat).

I bought the coat because the lining on my old raincoat was wearing out. My dad has had a Gore-tex jacket for about 15 years, and it's still going strong. Hopefully mine will do the same.

Comments about Marmot Minimalist Jacket (Women's):

Great jacket, very durable. I've had this jacket for about 10 months and wear it regularly. It's very durable, can take a good beating but still looks great. Great for cold weather activities - keeps the cold wind out nicely and keeps me dry during rigorous winter training. Also, got lots of compliments on its fit and color as well.
