The Limelight 2 Person Tent by Marmot is an easy to set up, lightweight tent that still has lots of room for relaxing after a long day on the trail.  A catenary cut floor offers the seams to be lifted up and off the ground and are fully taped to ensure absolute waterproofness.

A roomy vestibule offers a place for gear and cooking while the fly vent is adjustable for ventilation as well.  Features such as a jingle free nylon zipper pull allows you to sleep through your tent mate's late night bathroom visit and light reflective points help to find your tent in the dark.

Comments about Marmot Limelight Tent 2011 (2 Person):

We purchased this 2-person tent after a positive experience with another Marmot 2p. The Limelight is an excellent tent in its own right, and now we have plenty of room when we get the whole family (4 of us) out to camp or when just two of us go backpacking and don't to take two tents. The Limelight is relative light for a 2p at 4 pounds 10 oz. Packed size is listed at 7x18 inches, but you have to work pretty hard to get down to 18 inches. It has decent interior size, at 54 inches wide and 88 inches long. There is a lot of headroom at 54 inches tall, particularly given that it uses a crossbar. There is one entry door, and the fly has one vestibule. The tent comes with a footprint (nice value) and also includes a small gear loft. The rain fly attaches easily and quickly. It has a window on the front and also a built-in vent on the back. The vestibule is pretty large and works nicely. You can even use the fly for a bare-bones setup if you want to get very light. I have to admit I really like the appearance of the Limelight. The mix of orange fabric with the mesh is very attractive. The zippers are snag-free and jingle-free. It's a nice touch. There are a couple of small storage pockets inside the tent. My only real complaint is that it could have packed down to a shorter length if Marmot had just added an extra joint to a couple of the poles, especially the crossbar. I also wold prefer two doors, but that's not a big deal.I purchased this tent on sale for [$] (including footprint) and am extremely happy with the purchase. Great price, awesome looks, and excellent functionality. This should really be a 4.5 star review, but it doesn't take half stars, and I don't want to give it just 4.

This is a great tent and I anticipate using it a lot. It may be my bad but when I purchased it, I thought there would be an opening on both sides. There is only an opening on one side however.

Comments about Marmot Limelight Tent 2011 (2 Person):

Love the tent. Very lightweight and compact. I needed a tent this size---small and light---and it is all it was said to be. Definitely waterproof--which I needed on a recent trip to Maine and Nova Scotia camping during some pretty steady rain. My only wish: that you could tie back the fly door somehow. (Reasons: for a bit more ventilation without taking the fly off during times of impending rain, and---I had my dog with me who liked to chill in the tent while I was doing stuff around the campsite, or who I wanted to get out of the flies and mosquitos--but who would have preferred to be able to see me--and me, him.)

Comments about Marmot Limelight Tent 2011 (2 Person):

I really like this tent, my wife used it on a 2 month field school trip. Never leaked, springtime snow and rain in Montana and Wyoming. Good tent. I wish it had a bigger vestibule, that way I could take it backpacking and fit two backpacks in the vestibule. Too small for that. Stood up to thunderstorms in South Dakota, and Iowa. Everyone at the campsite had soggy drawers, not us.
buy this tent, great for car camping, great for backpacking if just one person
