The men's Afterburner Jacket by Marmot is a Windstopper fleece jacket that is made for anyone looking for warmth and protection from the wind. Constructed to be highly durable with nylon reinforcements in fast wear areas, and a roll over wind flap behind the zipper to make the jacket even more efficient in its heat retention. The Afterburner was developed for the climber/mountaineer in mind with its low volume fleece that can be worn under a hardshell for harsher weather and is great worn alone for milder temperature days.

I bought this fleece because of all the great reviews. It advertises 300 wt fleece and I am sure it is, but just not much of it. I believe it is very good quality, just not as warm as I expected from all the reviews I read. It is however thin and lightweight. I was looking for something much warmer like a Patagonia R4 or THF Summit Thermal. This item would probably keep me warm at 50 degrees or above if I had a long sleeve shirt underneath.
