I used these along with Malone's universal cross rails for my brand new 2010 Chevy Equinox. Very sturdy and an EXCELLENT solution for canoe hauling over distance. These worked so well that even with the bars close together on a short set of side rails, I was able to haul without front and back straps, ie. no paint chaffing! Just use the straps over the top and under the side rails and you are good to go!
