The Crosslite Trail Running Shoe by La Sportiva is a super burly yet lightweight trail racing shoe made for the most extreme conditions. Wide spaced lugs help to shed mud and grass, keeping more traction with your stride. A simple mesh upper that helps your foot to breathe while protecting you with an integral scree guard.
The outsole is made with FriXion, a rubber that draws on La Sportiva's mountaineering hertiage. FriXion is extremely sticky, designed to give you superior grip on rock surfaces that are wet, dry, loose or consolidated. The Crosslite is featherweight and made for racing, giving you support with its Impact Brake System V-Groove cushioning that keeps you from fatiguing and allows you to finish the race.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
I am attending the Tough Mudder race here in Phoenix, Arizona in January and I was looking for some good rugged shoes which are able to withstand even swimming in a pool of water. Since these races usually happen in hilly terrain, and most obstacles include water, mud and rocks, I decided to go with these shoes. I received them 2 weeks ago and run a 7 mile trail the following day. I am a 205 pound guy which means a lot of weight shifting around while running. I can tell you, I had no blisters or rubbing spots whatsoever. My feet felt supported at all times, and the grip was amazing. Even after crawling through a huge water puddle, the shoes dried up quickly and so far I have seen no wear. Two things, I was running a trail in rainy conditions, and they were a little slippery on rocks . I had to land with the mid sole to minimize the slipping. The lace protection is a great idea but you can just hope you will never have to replace them. Overall, I train in them 5 days a week, in all kinds of terrain and weather conditions, and I am super happy with my choice of shoe.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
I use these shoes exclusively for trail running and an occasional fast and light hike and have found them to be my favorite shoe. They provide just enough cushion to soften the rocks and roots, but not so much as to feel clunky or to cause tripping from a diminished trail "feel." The reduced cushioning also reduced the potential for rolling an ankle. I have found the soles to grip well on all terrain. This is my second pair of the Crosslites. I briefly tried a pair of the 2.0 Crosslites, but felt that La Sportiva had ruined a good thing with the supposed "improvements." I must not have been alone, as Sportiva has vowed to continue making the original as well.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
These shoes work great in about any situation you can think of while running on the trail. Great for running in the wet or dry, but on days when you are crossing multiple creek crossings they are far superior to most other trail shoes. Not only do they grip well, but they drain extremely well. They are lightweight... Yet they last far longer than any other shoes I've worn on the trail. Probably get anywhere from 30-40 percent more wear out of this particular shoe compared to other brands.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
Versatile trail shoe. Raced distances from 5 to 50 miles and in very dry (loose gravel, sand) to very wet/muddy conditions with few complaints.
Grabs the heel firmly which is a big plus for those of us with narrow/low volume feet.
Low profile shoe = makes for great "natural" stability.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
This is a great lightweight trail shoe. Lots of traction, low profile, and comfortable. I consider it one of the more "minimalist" trail shoes, so if you prefer lots of cushioning and support, it's probably not the shoe for you.
It's good for everyday trail use, but really excels in wet weather, mud, and on slick rocks and roots.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
Good shoe for a variety of trail conditions. Great on wet, slick rocks and loose terrain. Good fit for someone with a low volume (i.e., narrow) foot. Grabs the heel snuggly. I was initially concerned because the mesh lace cover only allows me to tighten the laces from the eyelets closest to my ankle; however, since the shoe grabs my ankle well I haven't had any problems. The overall comfort of the shoe is surprising as well.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
This shoe was perfect right out the box, I ran a 60K and had no problems, at first i wasn't crazy about the roomy toe box but it was great, no more bad toes, good on non-tech. trails, lacks in cushion. I still love this shoe fits like a glove.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
I must admit, I'm not a runner. Until recently I was torturing myself by wearing Converse and such, and my feet were really beginning to feel it, so I decided to make a change. After going to a few shoe stores and trying on a half dozen different running shoes, I discovered that for my purposes pretty much anything was a step up from Chuck Taylor's, but none quite had the aesthetic value I was looking for.
These shoes have both. They felt just as good as $160 runners I had tried on, are very comfortable, and although it's only been a couple months, are holding up well. I wear them every day walking around the streets of NYC.
Only gripe, surprisingly enough, is that the traction doesn't seem suited to slick surfaces. But they are trail runners, and I think were intended more for dirt than asphalt.

Comments about La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe (Men's):
I recently raced with these shoes in the Two Lakes Trail Run. My La Sportiva Crosslite trail running shoes allowed me to really cut loose on the down hills with total confidence. On the off cambered terrain and tight turns, I never once felt like I was slipping. The tread on these shoes are amazing.
