Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Backpack:

I bought the previous version of this pack a few years ago on sale, but this one looks pretty much the same, just a bit updated. It has been one of the best, most versatile bags I have owned. For a three day weekend on a plane, it is great - overhead bin compliant, lots of ways to load it, full zip, never a second look from airline people to make you check it, but lots of room.

I also use it to go to the local farmers market every Saturday, for hiking trips where I have to carry a load, but don't need to bring all my sleeping gear/tent/cooking gear, use it to haul things when they need hauling etc...

It has held up to a lot of abuse. It was a great buy on sale, would still have been a great buy at full price. It has years of service left in it, but I am considering buying this one for the day it dies, so that I am not too sad.
