The Pocket Filter by Katadyn is an incredibly durable, easy to clean water filter that removes particles, bacteria, cysts and parasites found in water and streams. The Pocket Filter is great for continuous use even after storing for long periods of time. With an easy to clean ceramic filter that is silver impregnated to inhibit bacterial growth inside its pores, eliminating the slime that makes it impossible to clean. The Pocket Filter has been re-designed with a comfy pump handle grip and outlet tube for easy use and pumping.

This is a great filter. It can filter out anything harmful here on the east coast but it can not filter out viruses which may be a problem in an emergency. It has an extremely long lasting filter. Up to 13,000 gallons of water, try using all that up. It is heavy so it is not the best filter for backpacking.

I use this product in filtering water while camping and in Emergency Water Storage. It does an excellent job and although somewhat pricey, I definitely got the quality and capbility I wanted and needed.
