The Katadyn Hiker PRO Water Filter is a higher performance version of the Hiker filter by Katadyn. The difference between the PRO and the Hiker is its filter protector that will extend the life of the cartridge when in conditions that are challenging. The PRO also has quick connect fittings that help with the removal of input and output hoses and has the ability to connect directly to hydration packs with 1/4" drink tubes. Anticlog technology with .3 micron glassfiber filters out bacteria, protozoa, and harmful things that are in your water.

This filter is tried and true. I have used it a lot for both personal use and with groups of people. It filters quickly so you don't have to spend a ton of time waiting on each other. The new cleanable screen helps the longevity of the filter when in less than ideal water. I love the carbon filter and how it improves the taste of the water as well. It really can't get any simpler to use and easy to maintain. The other big improvement is the quick connect fittings that make it super simple to fill up my bladder with out even having to take it out of my pack.
