The Lucky Charm Rand Spray Skirt is Immersion Research's latest rand-style skirt, and replaces the ToughSkin Rand. This updated skirt features a new “fin” style rand designed to create an effective water barrier on even the most challenging rims, an improved high-viz grab handle, and a general overhaul of the skirt fit-range to encompass the new generation of wider cockpit rims, particularly Jackson kayaks. Like all rand-style skirts, this model tends to be harder to get on a rim than a bungee skirt, but is an excellent choice for kayakers most concerned with skirt implosion, and/or who are very hard on skirts. I picked up the Lucky Charm about 3 months ago, and its the best skirt I've ever owned. Instead of a simple, round rand, the rubber has fins that form to the cockpit rim of your boat. Another feature I like is the neon yellow grab loop. I feel like it would be easy to find should I need it. It also seems to be really well made. I hope it holds up for a long time, its a great skirt!
