Hoka One One trail running shoes are now available at Rock/Creek
"Rock/Creek Race Team member Randy Whorton was skeptical... he immediately took them out for a 20-mile run, followed by a hard 6-miler on the most technical trails in the Chattanooga area. Thrilled with the results to that point, he decided to wear them while running the Black Mountain 50k. Here's what he wrote after the race..."

Comments about Hoka Bondi B Running Shoe (Men's):
Just received my first pair to try out. In July of 2011 i had my second knee surgery. I have just started back in running climbing. I mainly used salomon shoes for everything hiking backpacking road and trail running. I would have never tried these if they had not been given to me as a gift. I could not be happier. After the first run i felt less fatigued and did not have to do my rigorous stretching afterwords. I tried running in them again and they are just awesome! I was able to run farther and faster than my previous shoes. These things are like running on air pillows. Mega cush! Dont let the looks fool you, if you want to get the job done give these a try, you will be impressed.

Comments about Hoka Bondi B Running Shoe (Men's):
I just had my first run in these shoes. I have been suffering from some injuries and the stability of these shoes really helped during my run. Where my old shoes would twist my feet around when running on uneven surfaces, these shoes kept my feet very stable and my feet didn't twist around during my run. Plus, my pre-existing injuries were not as noticeable after the run. I hope that this keeps up in my future runs. I have had to take a lot of breaks from running due to injuries lately and it has been awful for me.

Comments about Hoka Bondi B Running Shoe (Men's):
I am a mimalist/barefoot runner looking for a pair of shoes that I can use on my recovery days that mimic a barefoot mid-foot landing. These shoes did not disappoint. They are light and promote quick cadence with mid-foot landing.
I've done 5 runs in Bondi B in the first week of owning them. My longest trail run was 10 miles at 8:30 avg pace and my longest road run was 12 miles at 8:00 avg pace. (Fastest mile I've done in these was 7:03 pace.) My feet and legs felt fresh after my long runs. I had no issue with the traction on the trail in the Bondi B. The best part is these are the first pair of shoes that didn't give me knee pains.
The only issue I've had was a small blister on the inside of my right foot between my arch and big toe. I think applying Body Glide to that area should fix the problem.
I've rarely heel strike in these shoes but when I do, it's very pronounced and I can tell when I am heel striking. It's been a real joy running in them. You really can push the pace going downhill.
I also ordered the Mafate but returned them because they were not as breathable, heavier and had a bit of an arch support that bothered me.
I typically wear 8.5 and ordered 8.5 and they feel like they're about a 1/4 size smaller than my other shoes but it didn't bother me because my feet are narrow. If you don't have narrow feet, I highly suggest moving at least a 1/2 size up.

Comments about Hoka Bondi B Running Shoe (Men's):
I am a 70+ yr. old runner and believe that I can continue to run and compete for many more years with these shoes. The cushioning is great - I have a neutral foot and no real biomechanical concerns. The only downside is the cost and the possibility that they could wear out quickly due to the soft soles. All in all though, I'll be back for another pair when these do wear out!

Comments about Hoka Bondi B Running Shoe (Men's):
I have put about 200 miles on my Bondi B's and they have become my favorite shoe of all time. So much so I took the plunge and have a pair of Mafate's coming to me! The shoe took about 30 miles to break in for me but once that happened I stopped using all my other shoes. These are perfect for any dry non technical surface. They are great for fireroads, single track and the road. The only terrain they are not fit for is one with sharp rocks.
