I have used the flash on both hiking and biking trips. It fits well in the side pouch of my camelbak. Even during crazy rough areas and it stays put. The finger grooves help keep i locked in the pouch plus keeps it in your hands on bumpy runs.
The only con that I found with the product is that the clear cap is EASILY lost. For one it is not attached in anyway, then when you do drop it... it is next to impossible to find in the leaves, rocks, or, even worse, water. If you get one, do yourself a favor and put stripes or something on it with a sharpie or colored tape.
