The Nimbus Meridian Ultra-lightweight Backpack by Granite Gear has gotten rave reviews and is becoming a favorite in the backcountry. Designed as a top loader, but also made with a single vertical zipper front panel making it easier to gain access into your pack in order to grab those necessary items.
The hipbelt and framesheet are incredibly durable and stable compared to many other Ultra-lightweight packs, and the Meridian is highly adjustable with three inches of torso adjustment in both sizes.
Designed to go the long mile with the new innovative RiRi water resistant tooth zippers for the pack lid and the front access zipper.
Also, constructed with a reflective material on the daisy chains and on the shoulder straps, just in case you need to find your pack in the dark.
Take the top off to use the fanny pack with a preattached hipbelt , and go for your dayhike from camp.

Comments about Granite Gear Nimbus Meridian Pack:
I have had a couple of these packs and they are great. The pack is very comfortable and durable and I have only encountered a few problems. On one that i owned the front zipper busted and the pack was mostly useless as that point. With that said though I have never seen another one do that. On another i found the straps would slip ever so slightly over a long period of hiking. But that is no real problem at all. It only takes a couple of seconds to tighten them all back up. This is the first pack that i have ever gotten well over a 1000 out of it with out any major problems with my pack

Comments about Granite Gear Nimbus Meridian Pack:
Compression straps on outside of pockets make it difficult to get water bottles out and keep load compressed. Other Granite Geat packs allow you to run strap under pocket as well as outside.

Comments about Granite Gear Nimbus Meridian Pack:
Although i typically go for a smaller pack. After purchasing this pack i feel alot more comfortable traveling and staying out for longer periods of time. This pack doesnt come with all the bells and whistles of a typical 60 liter pack. This pack can go anywhere and do everything from a weekend trip to the entire AT. You will not be dissatisfied with this pack. The padding on the shoulders and hip belts mold to you after time and the sil nylon shell of the bag is super lightweight and durable. If you are condisering a 60 liter pack. Look no further this will suffice any hikers dream pack.
