15 feet from the ground on the first ascent of a highball boulder in California, and the two things between you and reaching the top is your technique and climbing shoes, and with the NEW Team 5.10 shoe by Five Ten, worry no more.

Designed with a collaboration of climbing shoe ideas from climbers such as Dave Graham, Paul Robinson, and Kevin Jorgeson, you get a shoe that boulders and sport climbs with the best of them.

Built with an ultra-thin, but highly durable 3.5mm Stealth Mystique rubber soles allowing you to grab holds with your feet easily, making any hard sport route or boulder problem a bit more feasible.  Awesome sensitivity with an even better fit, makes the Team 5.10 shoe the one to grab for your variety of climbing projects.

Sensitive, surgeon like precision and a perfect fit.

**FIT  INFORMATION: The Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe does not stretch, so we suggest you size the shoe to fit your street shoe size.  The toe is downturned and narrow (much like Five Ten's Dragon Shoe), providing a precise fit for intermediate to advanced climbers.  If you have any concerns about the fit of this shoe, please call our customer service hotline. 1-888-707-6708

I only use the shoe outdoors specifically because it is my new baby and feel obligated to put it to its true use in nature. I feel that it is safe to say that this shoe is a mix between the v10 and the projects. Giving unbelievable power with sensitivity like no other downturned shoe. The balance between the two aspects allows me to feel the tiniest footholds and pull off of them with ease.

Additionally, the velcro strap is an additional plus, holding my foot in when the velcro stretches out, not as well as the dragons, but it gets the job done for a solid heel hook

Comments about Five Ten Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe:

Good shoe. second pair of supersteep style shoe. I like these shoes for my feet because they fit me well. hard to get on and off, but vs my boosters, they are narrower and therefore fit my feet well. good rubber, we shall see how it lasts. got them about a week ago. been to 3 gyms with them. will take them out this sat. and see how they perform on rock. So far, i like everything but the strain to put them on. however there is less room in the heel cup than my boosters so its a better fit... for me anyway. try them before you buy them... ALWAYS!

these shoes were going right back in the box as soon as i put them on. bought them true to size and was horrified at the amount of pain my sissy feet felt from them. i gave it a go once more for good measure but was so taken aback by the amount of hot spots. although five ten has killer rubber i'm more inclined to find a shoe that fits my wide toe box without having to feel like i'm dying in the process...tried scarpa feroce v and i love them. sorry five ten.

Comments about Five Ten Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe:

Great for hard bouldering, heel hook is a little hard to get in but once it's done, you can heel on anything! from smears to crimps. With time they get a little soft and become really useful for roofs or really steep boulders/routes. I believe 5.10 has come up with a better heel hook as they had issues with this one, so, the shoe just keeps getting better!

Comments about Five Ten Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe:

I've had these shoes for a couple weeks now and could not be more happy. I'm a size 10 street shoe and got these in a 10.5 and have been super happy with the fit. I could have probably gone up to an 11 for a bit more comfort but I feel I sized them perfect. Toes are tight but not painful and they do break in a tiny bit.. I can boulder for an hour or more without too much discomfort. I still have my mocasyms for smearing and vertical routes/problems. But anything overhanging and these shoes kill it. They focus power to the big toe like they promise and they are very sensitive. The only down fall is the 3.5mm rubber for durabilty but they make up for it in feel on dime edges. And you can always resole. People that have been climbing for years will love them and beginners in a comfortable size will feel the rock like no other.

Comments about Five Ten Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe:

Excellent aggressive climbing shoe, stellar on the steep and overhanging. Downturned toe results in very powerful edging. Rubber extends across the top of the forefoot for excellent toe hooking. Heel cup never slips and gives much confidence in heel hooking. Overall if you are looking for a high level, aggressive shoe this is a great choice. It really does fit to your shoe size, there is not much stretch at all- probably due to it being synthetic material and also due to the way the rubber extends out over the top of the shoe. I initially tried a half size smaller...exceedingly difficult to put on and also very painful. I eventually ordered one in my street shoe size...just right.

Comments about Five Ten Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe:

This is my new favorite climbing shoe. It is a very powerful high performance climbing shoe that quite simply excels on the steep and overhanging stuff. It has quite a downturned toe and it super powerful when it comes to edging especially on roofs. Additionally, the heel is excellent and is very confidance inspiring. The toe rubber extends across the top of the forefoot area which enhances its ability to toe hook, a plus for difficult sport and bouldering problems.
So what are the downsides I have experienced. Probably the only one is that with the degree of downturned toe, this shoe is just not good for the less than vertical wall where smearing is at a premium. That being said, the shoe isnt designed for that type of climbing in mind anyhow.
Also, just as the site warns..this shoe doens't stretch. My first pair was a 1/2 size smaller than street and while I eventually was able to climb in them, it was more than the normal pain associated with tight high performance climbing shoes. I finally gave up on them and just ordered a pair in my street shoe size. Part of the reason for this is they synthetic material but also that rubber that extends over the top of the toe area...just wont allow for much stretch.
So buy this shoe if you are interested in a powerful bouldering/sport climbing shoe that excels on the steep and overhung.

These are great shoes, as long as you size them right to your feet, i used to have dragons, and these are just as good so far, actually even better, heel and edge just as good, but toe hook much better than the other 5 ten shoes!

Comments about Five Ten Team 5.10 Climbing Shoe:

I wear a size 10-10.5 street shoe and went with five ten's advice to order this shoe same as your street shoe size because "It fits smaller than other five ten shoes"! These shoes were painful and narrow in size 10s so I upgraded to the dragons, which are a similar fit, in 10.5 and fits perfectly. Get the correct size and you'll make spider-man look like a [*] .
