The Savant Multi-Sport Shoe by Five Ten is a true, all purpose shoe for any type of exploring you are doing in a day. The Savant is built on a women's specific last with less volume, and a narrower heel than the men's model giving you a better fit and a more secure shoe to rock hop, scramble or river cross. The Savant is a versatile shoe that provides all day comfort with its highly breathable, quick drying and fast draining synthetic uppers that repel pebbles and debris.
A super solid compression molded EVA midsole and TPU plate provides awesome protection for the bottom of your feet from sharp roots, rocks, and gives you stability on uneven terrain or tough portages.

These shoes give you the support and comfort to hike miles and miles with kayaks and overnight gear, and the confidence to quickly make difficult scouts and sketchy portages. Great shoe that is well worth the money. To help them dry faster, take out the removable liners. With tapered sole edges, they fit in every kayak I own.

I will use this shoe to keep from slipping on wet rocks in and near the river. They are a little wide but I will be using neoprene and fleece socks with them. Once they break in I will be able to tie them a little more snugly. For a woman, these are good because the other choices in my size (11 or 42.5) look pretty intimidating. Like I could take over the world.

I tried yellow and black canyoneer boots. Too wide, I am a woman. I tried the water tennies. No ankle support and short for the size. I finally got these and they are true to size, attractive, and sturdy.

I can't believe that Five Ten would make a womens shoe this wide! Crazy. If you have really, really wide feet, this shoe is for you. Rock Creek was great about the return.
The sole of this shoe was incredible (or at least from what I could tell inside the house). Very sticky rubber. I really wish it fit.

I bought this shoe to take with me trekking in New Zealand. I've been breaking them in and they are a great shoe. They feel like a hiking boot. They're stiff and stable and great for hiking around. They do fit slightly small though, I am usually an 8 and I needed an 8 1/2. I will definitely be buying these again when my current ones wear out.

I bought the Savants as my paddling shoes for runs you might have to hike in or out of. They're the best shoe I own for walking on wet rocks, stream beds, and mud. They drain really quickly, but need a day or two to completely dry. My only complaint is that they are a little bulky, and are really stiff until broken in for a long time. I would have bought them a size bigger for layering on long or cold runs, but they barely fit in my boat as is.
