These shoes are AMAZING. I ordered a pair off ROCKCREEK.com just in time for my first Cali whitewater trip and they allowed me to get to places across that vast granite playground that other peoples footwear wouldn't allow. Hiked into Upper Cherry with them and they stayed comfy with NO blisters. Down at Flintstone camp we were body sliding down the last little slide into the pool-I could put put the brakes on and stand up in the middle of the slide! That was pretty amazing considered the speed of the current and slickness of the wet granite. I also swam out to a rock in the river to attempt at rescuing a friend of mines boat from a sieve/cave situation and then to get off that rock safely I was gonna have to jump off of it-kinda plant and then spring off the rock wall next to me to in order to throw my weight away from the sieve and swim to safety. It worked-thanks to the ever so sticky FIVE TEN rubber. Also in comparison to other water shoes out there-these are the most versatile...and easier on the eyes. You wouldn't even know they were water shoes. Enjoy them around town and into the wild. I'm ordering another pair today just to ensure I have a back up. Hmmm, the Canyoneer's look awesome too! I'm also going to call FIVE TEN and let them know how they were a crucial part of making my Cali trip a safe and fun one. -Greg Garrard

The Stealth soles are great. They stick to every surface including slimy, wet rocks. Great shoe when wet. However, The rest of the shoe wears out quickly. Holes were worn through in only five uses. Terrible shoes for long, dry hiking such as Buckskin Gulch, Utah.

Comments about Five Ten Savant Multi-Sport Shoe (Men's):
Most reviews said this shoe was true to size, so I ordered my normal size, 10 1/2. They were a bit too snug, so I paid nearly $15 to mail back, exchange for size 11. That larger size was way too tight??!! Didn't want to keep paying for return postage, so I delt directly with FiveTen. They paid postage both ways, and sent me yet another pair, now a whole size larger, 11.5. They feel a bit too big, so very dissapointed in FiveTen's size control. Perhaps the size 11 was miss labled, as it felt smaller than the 10.5
No one locally carried the shoe, so I couldn't check. Bummer. We leave in 2 days for 6 week trip to Utah where I wanted to use them...

Comments about Five Ten Savant Multi-Sport Shoe (Men's):
Alright, I had the version prior to this. Nonetheless, I'm just now buying another pair after 3 years of intense wear, seeing water on a regular basis. I'm an avid freerunner and cave spelunker so these things see everything under the sun. I did a 5K mud run in them after 3 years on top of everything else... and they survived! They are literally starting to fall apart so it's time for a new pair. [$] shoe that last for over 3 years... you make the call.Things I'm proud they survived: - 50 ft. cliff jumps into quarry water- 5K Mud Run- Parkour- Sliding down loose rock faces- River forging- Grocery shopping

Comments about Five Ten Savant Multi-Sport Shoe (Men's):
I wear the Savants daily while working as a River Ranger. This is my first pair of 5.10s and I don't know why I waited so long to purchase the best wet/dry traction shoes I've ever worn. Every section of river that I work on involves portaging and or lining rafts through a few rapids. I can't say enough good things about these shoes! I even wear them in my creekboat as I prefer the support of an actual shoe to that of a lightweight bootie. The only issue that I've had is that the stitching around the toe box takes a beating while portaging in rocky terrain. I attempted to remedy this problem by applying aquaseal to the stitching to offer additional abrasion protection, which seems to have helped. I typically wear a drysuit with built-in socks or neoprene socks and there is plenty of room to remain comfortable all day in these shoes. These are great shoes for rafting and kayaking or any other water related activity!

Comments about Five Ten Savant Multi-Sport Shoe (Men's):
This is my preferred canyoneering shoe, after wearing out an old pair of Savant's after many many canyons, I tried the 5.10 Canyoneer 2 to see how I liked them. After several trips in the Canyoneer 2's they started to rub against my ankle and created major discomfort (due to their design). I went back to my old Savant's and had no issue due to the low cut design. After about 2 mths I was able to walk in the Canyoneer 2's again, but then developed the same issue after a couple more trips. It was at that time I purchased these new pair of Savants and put away the Canyoneer 2's for good. Both are absolutely invaluable for any serious canyoneer due to their Stealth rubber bottoms. They both have identical bottoms, but the Savant's are much more comfortable. I am a Savant wearer for life now!!

Comments about Five Ten Savant Multi-Sport Shoe (Men's):
Bought these shoes as an alternate for the 5.10 Canyoneers which I could not get a size to fit my feet (and I'm a pretty standard 10.5 D) to use in the Utah Slot Canyons. These shoes stick to wet slick Rock and add a level confidence on wet/slick terrain. The shoes drain well and are comfortable but are a little stiff when you first wear them. It took about 7 miles to break in the tongue so it was flexible enough not to rub or be uncomfortable.
The shoes feel true to size and are comfortable but not sure how they would feel after anything longer than 7 miles (my longest hike with them so far). The stick "Stealth" rubber is great for traction but soft so don't expect them to outlast most hiking boots. These are specialty shoes for wet locations so if you use them for that and wear your other boots for normal hiking these should last you a while.
The shoes are very light which cuts down on fatigue but there is little ankle support.

Great shoe and great grip. I just wish they had it in a 12. The 11.5 is just a little to small for me.
