The Prism Climbing Shoe by Five Ten is the edging machine for rock climbing shoes and has an actual government patent to prove it. In December 2006, the US Government awarded Five Ten a patent for faceted edge technology (FET), which gives the shoe incredible outside edge performance, which means it has edges developed at optimum angles with more rubber-to-rock contact then ever possible. Besides having a great sole that is made with Stealth ONYXX rubber, the Prism is also comfy with a non-stretch dual Perflex micro fiber laced upper, so it stays consistant in its fit for as long as you climb in them.

Comments about Five Ten Prism Climbing Shoe:
I love this shoe. The faceted edge technology makes for a bit of an unusual fit at first. There is kind of some extra rubber at the end of the toe that makes things a little hard to feel. Once you get used to it, though, it makes edging so comfortable and offers lots of support. The fabric of the upper lets your feet breathe and allows you to wear them for a long time without having to take them off. Fits like most Five Tens. I'd definitely get them again.
