Comments about Five Ten Piton Climbing Shoe:

I bought these shoes for trad routes, but I broke them in bouldering in the gym & outside. So I've tried them on plastic & rock, overhanging boulder problems, & multi-pitch vertical / non-vertical friction climbs. At first I was concerned about the stickiness as they streaked off gym plastic & even small edges on boulders. However, the more I used them outside the sticker they seemed to get. So you might anticipate a short "break in" time period like I did. I was most impressed by the performance at Table Rock, in North Carolina's Linville Gorge. They even stuck to completely wet rock. Definitely an outdoor shoe.
