No better shoe for steep problems

Comments about Five Ten Hornet Climbing Shoe (Men's):

When I first tried the hornet I realised this truly superior air-tight fit.The asymmetrical lacing system works very well but it takes long time to put them on and off so I don't recommend it for long trainings or bouldernig sessions. I always use the hornet on comps and to execute my projects. The laces and the design of the toe is excellent for toe hooks too. The heelcup is simply perfect and the other thing I love about these shoes is the synthetic Cowdura upper. It makes the hornet really lightweight, minimizes the break-in period and looks very cool too with it's beautiful green color.
The hornet is the best shoe I've ever had for overhangs and steep problems due to it's sensitive and very aggressive construction but for edging on vertical climbs I found the rubber too thin.

Thinner, more sensitive Dragon

Comments about Five Ten Hornet Climbing Shoe (Men's):

These shoes are awesome. I've owned Dragons for a while, and these seem like a better fitting, thinner version of the dragons. They don't have as much toe rubber for toe hooking, but they can still toe hook just fine.

Thin, sensitive Dragon (less toe rubber)

Comments about Five Ten Hornet Climbing Shoe (Men's):

I have climbed in the Dragons for a while now, and saw these on sale so I got a pair. They are awesome. They size the same as the Dragons, and I think they fit even better (right out the the box there was no break-in period required). I have really wide feet and the asymmetrical lacing makes it really easy for these to fit me like a glove. My dragons needed a break-in period, but these didn't at all. I recommended these to some strong friends and they love them for the exact same reasons.

They are also remarkably thin and sensitive, and are very aggressive. I haven't climbed in them long enough to comment on the durability of the thinner sole, but I really like the sensitivity. Also, the heel seems to fit better in these than in the Dragons. For outdoor climbing, I still prefer my Dragons, but for the gym (up to 5.13s) I love these guys.
