Didn't even have to break it in, this shoe felt great right out of the box. The rubber is so sticky and the shoe itself is comfortable and attractive. I wear them a lot to the boulderfield and they are great for rocky approaches or even light climbing. My only 'con' is that they seem to lose their initial shape easily with lots of wear. A friend who has the warhawks wore them every day through all the seasons for a year and a half and had them last so i am hopeful!
