Comments about Five Ten Guide Tennie Canvas Shoe (Men's):

I bought the guide tennies to wear for my first big wall. Recieved them the week before the route and by the time I hiked the approach trail they were broken in and fit like a glove. Spent 3 days on the wall (aid climbing) in them and was very comfortable. Because they are so light they are not extreamly durable (ripped a small hole on the approach trail) but they still seem like they are going to last a long time. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. 5.10 makes quality products. Ive never been dissapointed.

The sizing on these shoes is slightly different from any other 5.10's ive had. Typically wear a 7.5 (US) climbing shoe for a snug comfortable edging fit. The guide tennies I ended up getting a 7 and they were still slightly bigger than I would have liked but probably is for the better with feet swelling slightly during climbing.

Comments about Five Ten Guide Tennie Canvas Shoe (Men's):

I've been wearing the 5.10 Camp Four approach shoe for years. My wife thinks they look clunky. I prefer vegan shoes. The canvas Guide Tennie had the same 'out-of-the-box' comfort, style, and performance features, minus the gore-tex/leather. I'm too old to bother when things get really wet anyway, so I opted for these. They are incredibly light, super comfortable, and my wife thinks they're super cute on me. I may end up with another pair of Camp Four's anyway..
The soles are sticky, but pretty then/flat/featureless. I love sticky rubber on water shoes, but will have to wait and see how long they last on these.

        Not satisfied

Comments about Five Ten Guide Tennie Canvas Shoe (Men's):

The product did not feel robust enough for what I expect from an approach shoe. I read many reviews online that tauted the performance and durability of the Guide Tennie, but I didn't see or feel it in the construction. I returned the shoes and bought the La Sportiva Boulder X, which I am currently wearing and have been satisfied with.

Comments about Five Ten Guide Tennie Canvas Shoe (Men's):

I wanted to find the perfect shoe for a memorable week in Yosemite and these did the trick. Grippy and durable, snug and warm even when wet. I did replace the insoles with super feet for added support which worked great for our 14 hour hike to the Half Dome summit and back.

Comments about Five Ten Guide Tennie Canvas Shoe (Men's):

The Guide Tennie is an awesome shoe. I've had a pair of the normal style for a year now as my every day shoe and they are super comfortable and have shown no wear. I bought the Canvas version for my wife as a mountain bike shoe and she loves them, too. I just got some of the Canvas style for me and can say that they are stiffer than the other upper option, but they also breathe better.
