I don't know if anything grips better on dry and wet slickrock than FiveTen shoes. Had to get these for my wife and mother. The only down side is the sizing is WAY off. My wife, my brother, and I all needed to go up a full size on all Five Ten hiking shoes.

I purchased these shoes at the recommendation of a friend for an upcoming 10 day backpacking trip in the high Sierras. My old hiking boots were badly in need of replacing and my friend extolled the virtues of the Camp Four. While I appreciate their robust design, low profile, and great gripping soles, the shoes were just not that comfortable. They rubbed in an uncomfortable spot on both my heels and pinky toes on each shoe. The shoes felt too small and narrow for their size. I'll be returning them but will continue to order from Rock Creek.
